In Kherson region, Russians deliberately damage their own equipment

In the Russian-occupied areas of Kherson region, a critical condition of military boats has been observed, leading to their failure and withdrawal from service.

According to the partisan movement ATESH, the command of the Russian Armed Forces suspects its own servicemen of deliberately sabotaging military equipment.

Servicemen of the 92nd River Boat Brigade have reported repeated technical failures which, according to them, tend to occur at moments when Russian counterintelligence begins to suspect sabotage.

Partisans from ATESH state that boat crews, fearing becoming targets for Ukrainian forces, are deliberately turning their vessels into scrap metal. This strategic decision has become part of a plan aimed at the systematic destruction of Russia’s communication and logistics infrastructure.

They have already carried out several successful acts of sabotage, including the destruction of a diesel locomotive used to transport military cargo and the paralysis of a key railway hub in Rostov-on-Don, significantly complicating supply routes for Russian forces.

It remains unclear what impact this sabotage will have on the overall situation in the region, but growing pressure from partisan activity and ongoing technical problems may further exacerbate difficulties for Russian troops, contributing to the strengthening of Ukraine’s defence.
