Russia attacked a minibus in Kherson with a drone; there are casualties

On the morning of July 28, Russian forces attacked a commuter bus with a drone in the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. Two women who were waiting at a public transportation stop were injured in the strike.

According to preliminary reports, the attack occurred around 6:00 a.m

A 62-year-old woman was injured when the enemy drone struck, sustaining blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to her arm. Medical personnel treated her at the scene.

Later, another victim—a 56-year-old woman who was also at the bus stop during the attack—sought medical attention. She was diagnosed with blast trauma and multiple shrapnel wounds to her torso, arms, and legs. She is currently receiving the necessary medical care.

The circumstances of this latest Russian strike on civilian transportation and the number of casualties are being clarified.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration on Telegram.

On the night of July 28, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Ukraine, firing 131 attack drones from four directions. Air defense forces destroyed or neutralized most of the enemy targets, but hits and the consequences of the attacks were recorded in a number of regions.

In the Bilopil community in the Sumy region, three people—a woman and her two young children—were injured as a result of a Russian drone attack.

Over the past 24 hours, on July 27, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated another 1,560 Russian soldiers. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released updated data on Russian military losses as of July 28, 2026.
