In the Kherson region, Russian strikes claimed the lives of two people over the past day

Over the course of August 17, two people were killed and ten others were wounded as a result of Russian strikes on the Kherson region. Russian troops continue to attack civilian infrastructure and populated areas in the region.

 

Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, reported this on Facebook.

The following towns and villages were subjected to enemy airstrikes, drone attacks, and artillery shelling: Antonivka, Zelenivka, Zymivnyk, Komyshany, Prydniprovske, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Sofiivka, Shyroka Balka, Daryivka, Zarichne, Ivanivka, Ingulets, Ingulivka, Lymants, Mykilsk, Ponyativka, Tokarivka, Ulyanivka, Fedorivka, Chaychyne, Yasna Polyana, Bilozerka, Beryslav, Zmiivka, Rakivka, Urozhayne, Charivne, Lozove, Milove, Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Novokayry, Havrylivka, Novovorontsovka, Lyubymivka, Khreshchenivka, Mykhailivka, Novoraysk, Kostyrka, Sagaidachne, Stepne, Vysoke, Odradokamyanka, and Kherson.

Five high-rise buildings, nine private homes, a cell tower, outbuildings, a bus, and private cars were damaged.

Yesterday, 18 people were evacuated from the liberated communities in the Kherson region.

Over the course of August 17, Russian troops attacked 59 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, killing two people and wounding four others. Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported on the consequences of the Russian strikes.

As a reminder, air defense systems were activated in the Kyiv region due to a Russian attack.

Earlier, Ukraine officially designated the long-range “Dovbush T40” unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

As a reminder, the Russian oil refinery “Orsknefteorgsintez” halted oil processing following an attack by Ukrainian drones on August 11.
