In the Lyman area, an occupier stole tramadol from a medic and deserted — Main Intelligence Directorate
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has released another audio recording of a conversation among the invaders. In the Lyman area of Donetsk Oblast, a soldier of the Russian occupation army left his combat position and fled in an unknown direction after taking a narcotic analgesic.
According to military intelligence, the incident occurred in a unit of the 488th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 144th Motorized Rifle Division of the Russian Federation’s 20th Combined Arms Army. This military unit is currently engaged in combat operations against the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the east of the country. The deserter was identified as a Russian soldier named Alexander (call sign or nickname: “Sanyok”).
In an intercepted report, an occupier with the call sign “Struna” informed command that “Sanyok” had joined the ranks of the “500s” (deserters). Before taking off, the soldier stole a supply of tramadol from the battalion medic and took a dose. When his disappearance was noticed, a pursuit team was sent after the fugitive, but they were unable to catch up with and detain him—according to his fellow soldiers, the occupier, under the influence of the drug, quickly “ran off into the hills.” The Main Intelligence Directorate adds that cases of Russian soldiers abandoning their positions, particularly while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, are regularly recorded in the Donetsk region due to the low morale and psychological state of enemy personnel.
