Russian shelling claimed a life in the Sumy region

Over the past day, one civilian was killed and four others were injured in the Sumy region as a result of Russian attacks. Residential buildings, non-residential premises, and civilian infrastructure facilities in the region were also damaged.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that a 62-year-old man died in a medical facility from his injuries. He sustained them on August 13 during a Russian rocket attack using multiple launch rocket systems on the territory of the Seredyna-Budsk community.

Over the past day, four more people were injured in the same community as a result of Russian strikes. The victims include a 58-year-old man, two women aged 71 and 60, and a 37-year-old man. “As a result of enemy strikes in the Sumy region over the past day, one civilian was killed and four people were injured. Damage and destruction to private homes, non-residential buildings, and civilian infrastructure were also reported,” the Sumy Regional Military Administration stated.

People who were injured earlier are seeking medical care

Medical staff are also continuing to treat people who were injured during previous attacks. A 52-year-old man, a 55-year-old man, and a 21-year-old woman sought treatment at the medical facility. They were injured on August 13 during a multiple-launch rocket system (MLRS) attack on the Seredyna-Budsk community. Another man, aged 51, sought medical help after being wounded. He sustained injuries on August 11 in Sumy following a strike by a Russian drone.

A child and a woman were killed in the Buryn community

Separately, the Regional Military Administration provided details on the aftermath of the Russian attack on the Buryn community, which occurred on the morning of August 14. Russian drones struck a house there. A 9-year-old boy and a 29-year-old woman were killed in the strike.

It was also reported that the number of casualties had increased. Five people sustained injuries: men aged 62, 29, and 70, and women aged 52 and 68. Thus, Russian strikes continue to claim the lives of civilians in the Sumy region and cause damage to residential buildings and civilian infrastructure. The Sumy Regional State Administration reported this on Facebook.

In the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District of the Odesa region, Russian drones damaged buildings at a shoe factory on the night of August 15. Following the strike, the cafeteria, boiler room, and a car caught fire, and the administrative building was also damaged. According to preliminary reports, no one was injured.

Russian forces carried out 971 strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region over the past 24 hours. Forty-two settlements came under fire, and two people were injured as a result of attacks on the Zaporizhzhia district. There were also 44 reports of damage to homes, vehicles, and infrastructure.

Since the evening, Russian troops have attacked three districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 20 times. As a result of the strikes in Marhanets, a three-month-old boy was killed, and 11 other people were injured, including two children. During the attack, the Russians used drones, artillery, and an aerial bomb.
