In the Zaporizhzhia region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled a Russian mechanized assault and destroyed enemy equipment
Soldiers from the 118th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with units of the 108th Kodatska Territorial Defense Brigade, repelled a Russian mechanized assault near the village of Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
This was reported by the Southern Defense Forces on Telegram.
According to military sources, the enemy attempted to use the morning fog to sneak into the settlement using a "Hedgehog" tank, an IFV, and two "Ulan" vehicles. However, the Russian assault troops did not even come close to the village, which, according to Russian propaganda channels, has allegedly been under the invaders’ control since the summer of 2025.
As a result of coordinated fire from Ukrainian units, enemy armored vehicles and 20 occupiers were destroyed: 10 killed and 10 wounded.
Additionally, fighters from the 414th Separate Brigade of Unmanned Systems “Madyar’s Birds” destroyed three BM-30 “Smerch/Tornado-S” multiple rocket launchers and a transport-loading vehicle for them, as well as burned fuel tanks.
In the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration, an intensification of Russian troops’ offensive operations has been observed.
