Defense forces struck a Lukoil oil refinery and the Yaroslavl-3 oil pumping station in Russia

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have successfully attacked key facilities of the fuel and energy sector within the Russian Federation.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

Specifically, on May 18, Ukrainian forces struck the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez oil refinery, and the following day, May 19, the Yaroslavl-3 oil pumping station.

The oil refinery complex in the Nizhny Novgorod region is one of the largest oil refining enterprises in Russia.

A successful strike on this facility would significantly reduce the production of fuel that the enemy uses to supply its occupation forces.

The oil pumping station in Yaroslavl also plays a critical role in the logistics of Russian raw material supplies.

Ukrainian “long-range sanctions” have struck Russian targets up to 1,000 km away

Earlier in the Belgorod region of Russia, a Russian fighter jet accidentally dropped a high-explosive bomb on railroad tracks during a combat mission, causing an electric train to derail.

Attacks on oil refineries have costRussia over $7 billion since the start of the year — WP.
