Several regions of Ukraine remain without electricity due to large-scale Russian attacks
As of the morning of 17 March, consumers in the Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions remain without electricity as a result of Russian shelling.
This was reported by the National Energy Company Ukrenergo on Facebook.
The enemy continues to deliberately attack Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
“Emergency restoration works are already being carried out wherever security conditions currently allow,” the company said.
Due to the consequences of previous large-scale strikes on the energy sector, power restriction schedules for industrial consumers will be introduced in all regions from 17:00 to 22:00.
Electricity consumption as of 09:30 on 17 March exceeded the level of the previous day by 1.9 per cent. The reason for this was cloudy weather in most regions, which reduced the efficiency of household solar power systems and led to an additional load on the overall power grid.
Ukrenergo urges Ukrainians to shift the use of high-power electrical appliances to the hours when solar power plants operate most efficiently — from 11:00 to 16:00. During the period when restriction schedules are in effect, people are also asked not to switch on several high-power appliances simultaneously.
It should be recalled that power outage schedules were in effect in all regions of Ukraine on 16 March.
It was also reported that on Sunday evening, 15 March, power restriction schedules for industrial consumers were also introduced in all regions of Ukraine.
