Officers of the Russian Black Sea Fleet are fleeing Crimea with their families
Due to Ukrainian strikes, the command of the Russian Black Sea Fleet is considering plans to relocate the remaining command structures from the temporarily occupied Sevastopol to Novorossiysk. Some Russian officers are already acting on their own, moving their families and disposing of property they cannot take with them from the peninsula.
This decision is a direct consequence of the systematic and escalating strikes by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on the occupiers’ military infrastructure in Crimea, which are making it increasingly expensive and risky to maintain command structures there.
According to intelligence sources, a gloomy mood currently prevails within the Russian Navy’s leadership, and some officials are trying not to delay their evacuation and resettlement in Novorossiysk even before receiving official orders. The logistical situation for the occupying forces on the peninsula has drastically deteriorated, so the coming months may prove to be the most difficult for them yet. Representatives of the underground movement also noted that on May 27, the Ukrainian military launched a successful strike with Storm Shadow missiles against Russian aviation hardware and software complexes in Sevastopol, significantly damaging the Black Sea Fleet’s aviation headquarters.
This was reported by the “Atesh” partisan movement.
In the temporarily occupied Crimea, a series of explosions rang out on the night of June 11, after which damage to infrastructure and fires were reported in several settlements. In particular, two road bridges were damaged in Armiansk, and a fire broke out near a military unit in Sevastopol.
The occupation administration in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region reported new strikes on transport infrastructure leading to Crimea.
