Occupiers are bribing commanders to avoid being sent to the Zaporizhzhia direction

Russian military personnel have begun paying commanders en masse in order to avoid frontline service, particularly in the Zaporizhzhia region.

According to the “Atesh” movement, servicemen of the 247th Air Assault Regiment are forming a group of fighters who transfer 50,000 rubles per month (approximately 26,000 hryvnias) to their commanders. In return for this money, they are kept at headquarters or assigned to fictitious internal duties, while still being granted the status of “on combat duty.”

This practice is causing growing dissatisfaction and alienation among soldiers, as those who cannot or do not want to pay are forced to take part in assaults without proper training or adequate equipment.

Commanders threaten punishments, including the deprivation of payments, for refusing to carry out orders. There are also regular reports of brutal treatment of subordinates.
