The occupiers are trying to break through to the Pokrovsk and Mirnograd areas – DeepState
On June 17, Russian occupation forces intensified their attempts to advance toward Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad, according to DeepState. Analysts report that the enemy continues to put pressure on Ukrainian positions along this section of the front.
Analysts note that the most tense situation is currently being observed along the Rodynske–Bilytske line (south of Dobropillia):
- Pressure on Rodynske: The occupiers are conducting assault operations, gradually increasing their control over the town.
- The enemy is employing “infiltration” tactics, sending small infantry groups deep into Ukrainian territory.
- Advancing on Bilytske: Attempts by the invaders to break through toward this village have been recorded. It plays a strategic role in this sector of the front, as it is an important logistical hub and a potential stronghold for the Russian Federation to launch a further offensive.
The Russian command’s main objective in this sector is to gain a foothold in the settlements south of Dobropillia in order to create a bridgehead for concentrating forces and launching a subsequent strike on the city itself.
A potential enemy advance into this area would allow them to cut off Ukrainian logistics and attack Dobropillia using drones.

Ukrainian defense forces are making every effort to thwart the occupiers’ plans. Ukrainian troops are engaged in heavy defensive battles, holding back continuous assaults by enemy infantry.
In addition to manpower, the Russians’ massive use of drone technology poses a critical threat to Ukrainian defenses.
The enemy is deploying a large number of drones of various types:
- Attack and reconnaissance drones: FPV drones, “Lancets,” “Molniyas,” and “Mavics.”
- Long-range: “Shahed”-type kamikaze drones.
