On February 15, in the Sumy region, Russian forces carried out shelling that reached 33 settlements, resulting in three civilians being injured.
Information about the injured was confirmed by the head of the Sumy Regional Administration, Oleg Hryhorov, who noted that among the injured were two women and one man, hit by drones and explosive devices.
According to Hryhorov, about 80 attacks occurred over the past day, damaging private homes, vehicles, and other infrastructure in the communities of Sumy, Popivka, Buryn, Shostka, and Chernechchyna. In the Sumy community, medical facilities and an apartment building were also affected.
Due to the growing threat, four people were evacuated from frontline areas. The situation raises many questions regarding security measures and the next steps of local authorities during the war.
Earlier, in the Lozova district of Kharkiv region, Russian shelling damaged railway infrastructure and power lines. As a result, trains could not follow their usual routes, and passengers to Kramatorsk are being transported by buses. Repair crews are working on-site to restore transport as quickly as possible.
