A dog miraculously survived a Russian strike on Vyshneve
During the Russian attack on Vyshneve on the night of July 6, a dog named Yosya found himself locked inside a house that was engulfed in flames. His owners were certain he had died, but the dog managed to escape the fire.
Yosya is alive today, though he was injured, lost his home, and is still afraid of loud noises after what he went through.
On the night of July 6, Russian troops attacked Vyshneve in the Kyiv region. One of the private homes caught fire after the strike. At that moment, Yosya was still inside.
According to local resident Oleksandr, when the shelling began, his nephew was forced to leave the house immediately to save himself. Yosya was left locked inside. His family had almost given up hope of seeing him alive. “We thought he was dead,” the man said.
However, a true miracle occurred. According to Oleksandr, the blast wave shattered the house’s windows. It was likely through the broken glass that the dog managed to escape. The house where Yosya lived was completely burned down.

Footage released shows that only charred remains of the house are left. The dog survived, but not without consequences. The animal sustained injuries. In particular, Yosya is limping on his hind leg. In addition to his physical injuries, he is still deeply traumatized. After the attack, the dog is very afraid of sudden and loud noises.
Yosya is currently living outdoors, as his home was destroyed by fire. The dog’s story serves as yet another reminder that Russian attacks affect not only people but also pets, who are often left without shelter, owners, or their normal lives.

Despite everything, Yosya managed to survive. And now he needs not only medical care but also a new, safe home. The dog’s story was reported by the publication “Ukraine Now.”
In Vyshneve, Kyiv Oblast, 253 private homes were damaged as a result of a Russian attack. Nine people were killed in the strike. As of the evening of July 7, 18 victims were being treated at medical facilities, where they are receiving the necessary care.
