During the Russian Federation's attack on Zakarpattia, 11 attack drones flew into the region
During the Russian airstrike on Zakarpattia, 11 attack drones entered the region’s airspace. Most of the enemy drones were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense forces or neutralized using electronic warfare systems.
This was reported by Myroslav Biletsky, head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, on Facebook.
"According to military sources, 11 aerial targets (UAVs of the 'Shahed' and 'Geran' types) entered the region's territory during the enemy attack. Most were shot down or neutralized using electronic warfare systems. Unfortunately, some drones reached their targets," he noted.
According to Biletsky, the consequences of the strikes are not critical for the functioning of life-support facilities.
Rescue workers are currently on the scene at the impact sites.
"I am grateful to the air defense forces, the National Guard, the police, and the rescue workers for their high professionalism and rapid response during the massive shelling. Most importantly, there are no casualties as a result of today’s air attack," Biletsky wrote.
He also added that he had initiated urgent inspections of shelters in communities to assess their condition and accessibility to the public.
