On May 13, Russian forces launched strikes against Naftogaz Group infrastructure in several regions of Ukraine. Facilities in the Kharkiv and Zhytomyr regions were targeted. An assessment of the damage is currently underway, and specialists are on site to repair the damage.

This was reported by the Department of Integrated Communications of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine.

In the Kharkiv region, an enemy drone damaged one of the gas production assets. A production facility in the Zhytomyr region was also hit. A fire broke out at the site as a result of the attack.

“Fortunately, there were no casualties—that’s the main thing. People’s safety is a priority. As soon as the security situation allows, we will begin assessing the damage and carrying out the necessary work to restore the damaged infrastructure as quickly as possible,” said Serhiy Koretskyi, Chairman of the Board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine.

Earlier, on May 9, Russians used an FPV drone to attack Naftogaz gas workers who were traveling to restore gas service in Druzhkivka.
