On the night of September 29, Russian forces attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles and drones. An educational institution was hit and a fire broke out in the capital.
Powerful explosions were heard in the capital overnight. As of 1:28 a.m., a drone was flying toward Kyiv.
The Kyiv City Military Administration had previously issued a warning: “Red alert. An air raid alert has been declared due to a missile threat. We urge city residents to proceed to the nearest shelters.”
At 02:05, the capital’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, reported: “In the Solomyanskyi district, rocket debris fell in the courtyard of a building. There is no fire. In the Pecherskyi district, a fire broke out in a three-story non-residential building. In the Solomyanskyi district, a missile struck an administrative building of an infrastructure facility. No fire.”
In addition, in the Solomyanskyi district, a building at an educational institution was hit and caught fire. Emergency services are heading to the scene, Klitschko noted.
As a reminder, Russia attacked 19 settlements in the Kherson region over the past 24 hours.
Russia also carried out 712 strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region, resulting in one fatality and several injuries.
