The Birds of Magyar took out the occupier with a drone from an ambush
Soldiers from the 414th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade, “Madyar’s Birds,” released a video showing an FPV drone in action, which they used to ambush a Russian soldier. The invader sensed the danger and tried to flee to cover, but did not have time to do so.
The video was published by the Ukrainian military itself. The footage shows the drone operator waiting for the target to appear and then delivering a precise strike.
Operators from the 414th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade “Madyar’s Birds” have shared another example of combat operations against Russian occupation forces. This time, the Ukrainian defenders employed the so-called “stakeout drone” tactic. They had left the FPV drone in a hidden location in advance and waited for the enemy to appear in the strike zone.
The released video shows a Russian soldier noticing the danger and trying to run as fast as he can toward a half-ruined building that could serve as cover for him. However, the drone operator quickly reacted to the target’s movement. As soon as the occupier found himself in an open area, the FPV drone set off in pursuit.
The Russian soldier did not have time to hide. The attack drone caught up with him before he could reach the building. As a result of the precise strike, the occupier was neutralized.
Ukrainian units are increasingly using tactics that involve “stakeout” drones. The essence of this tactic is that an FPV drone takes up a concealed position in advance and waits for the target to appear for a certain amount of time, without wasting battery power on a long flight.
Once the enemy is detected, the operator instantly activates the drone and strikes. This method allows for more efficient use of drones and increases the chances of successfully hitting the target. The 414th “Madyar’s Birds” Brigade regularly publishes videos of its operators in combat, demonstrating the use of various tactics and technologies to destroy Russian troops’ manpower and equipment.
