Putin called the annexation of Ukrainian territories a just struggle by the Russian people
During the first plenary session of the 9th State Duma on September 30, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin called the illegal annexation of the occupied Ukrainian territories a symbol of the Russians’ “righteous struggle” for justice.
According to him, September 30 is celebrated in Russia as the “Day of the Reunification of New Regions.” Moscow announced the annexation of the occupied parts of the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions in September 2022.
The Kremlin leader congratulated Russians on the so-called “Day of Reunification” and stated that this date allegedly embodies the aspiration for “the restoration of historical unity” and the “righteous struggle” of Russians, the residents of Donbas and Novorossiya for freedom and justice. Putin also called this day a symbol of Russian support for the participants in the so-called “special military operation,” whom he described as those who “stood up to defend the Motherland and the people.”
This is reported by Russian propaganda media.
Putin ordered the purchase of grain from farmers amid export problems through Russian ports.
As a reminder, Russia has rejected all proposals for a grain deal that could allow for the resumption of agricultural exports via the Black Sea. Ukraine’s Minister of Agrarian Policy, Taras Vysotsky, told Bloomberg about this. According to him, Kyiv received this information from countries that had attempted to establish a dialogue with Moscow.
Currently, Ukraine and Russia have effectively reached parity in terms of grain export volumes in absolute terms.
