Russia is attacking Ukraine with drones and ballistic missiles; Kharkiv and the Dnipropetrovsk region are under attack
From the evening of April 2 through the morning of April 3, Russian forces launched a large-scale combined attack on Ukraine, using strike drones and missiles.
Several regions came under fire at once—there have been reports of deaths, injuries, and significant destruction.
Kharkiv has been under massive strikes for over a day; a baby is among the victims. Meanwhile, the Sumy region was hit by guided aerial bombs: there are fatalities and injuries, and the Dnipropetrovsk region has endured dozens of attacks across various districts
Kharkiv has been under intense drone and missile strikes for over a day. According to preliminary data, the enemy is using “Geran”-type drones.





According to the prosecutor’s office, on April 2 at approximately 10:35 p.m., a UAV strike on a residential building was recorded in the Kyivskyi district. A 27-year-old woman and her one-month-old son were injured—they have been diagnosed with acute stress reaction.
In the Osnovyanskyi district, a strike caused a fire in an office building, and a security guard was injured.
The attacks continued into the early morning. Around 2:30 a.m., a drone struck the area of the Central Park cable car, damaging infrastructure. At approximately 4:00 a.m., Russian forces launched missile strikes on the city: residential buildings were damaged, a 63-year-old woman was injured, and an 18-year-old girl suffered an acute stress reaction.
In the Sumy region on April 3, Russian troops struck the Shostka community with guided aerial bombs. One person was killed in the attack, and three others were wounded and are in the hospital, including a 29-year-old woman in critical condition.
In Sumy, drones struck the Kovpakivsky district and the city center. Non-residential buildings and vehicles were damaged.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian troops attacked four districts nearly 30 times, using missiles, drones, and artillery.

In particular, infrastructure was damaged in Pavlohrad and Verkhivtseve. In the Nikopol region, high-rise buildings and infrastructure facilities were destroyed, and in the Kryvyi Rih region, the Zelenodolsk community came under attack.
According to monitoring channels, launch maneuvers by Russian Tu-160 strategic bombers were recorded. If these were not simulated, the missiles could have appeared in Ukrainian airspace as early as this morning.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Air Force has not officially confirmed reports of Tu-160 and Tu-95MS aircraft taking off.
On the night of April 3, Russian occupation forces launched a massive ballistic missile attack on Ukraine. Several cities came under fire, including Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Pavlohrad.
In Kharkiv, a woman and her one-year-old infant were injured as a result of a strike by a Russian drone. The incident occurred in the Osnovyanskyi district of the city, where a fire broke out in a high-rise building. Both victims suffered severe stress, but their lives are not in danger.
Additionally, a series of enemy drone strikes was recorded in various parts of Kharkiv, causing fires at the impact sites.
Throughout the day, Russian troops attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region nearly 40 times with drones, artillery, and aerial bombs. Two people were killed, and another woman was injured. Rural communities, infrastructure facilities, and private homes were hit hardest.
Throughout the day on April 2, Russian occupation forces carried out a series of brutal attacks on the Kherson region, using artillery and FPV drones against the civilian population.
