Russia attacked 34 settlements in the Sumy region; a child was among those injured

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 48 strikes on 34 settlements in the Sumy region. Thirteen people were injured in the attacks, including a seven-year-old child.

Investigative and operational teams, as well as police bomb disposal experts, worked at the sites of the Russian attacks.

In the Berezivka community, a 59-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman were injured when a Russian drone struck.

In the Shostka community, a 41-year-old man and two 57-year-old men were injured by enemy UAV strikes.

In the Okhtyrka community, a 39-year-old man was injured as a result of a Russian drone attack.

In the Chernechchyn community, a 37-year-old and a 43-year-old man were injured after an enemy UAV strike.

The highest number of casualties was recorded in the Sumy community. There, women aged 27 and 35, men aged 32, 39, and 57, and a 7-year-old child were injured.

Investigators have opened criminal cases under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—war crimes—for all instances of Russian strikes.

Law enforcement officials continue to document the consequences of the Russian military’s attacks on the Sumy region.
