Russia attacked 44 settlements in the Kherson region; there are casualties and injuries

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops launched massive strikes on the Kherson region, attacking 44 settlements in the area with artillery and drones. Two people were killed and 11 others were wounded as a result of the enemy shelling.

Beryslav, Bilozerka, Chornobaivka, Antonivka, Stanislav, Kizomys, Tyahynka, Kherson, and dozens of other settlements in the region came under fire from the occupiers.

The Russian army deliberately targeted critical and social infrastructure, as well as residential neighborhoods. As a result of the shelling, the following were damaged:

  • four high-rise buildings;
  • four private homes;
  • a gas pipeline;
  • a farm;
  • a public bus;
  • private cars.

In addition, the evacuation of residents from de-occupied and frontline communities is ongoing. Over the past 24 hours, 11 people were successfully evacuated from dangerous areas in the Kherson region.

The situation in the region remains tense due to constant attacks by Russian troops, who continue to strike civilian infrastructure and the region’s civilian population.

Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the regional military administration, reported this on Telegram.

As a reminder, on the afternoon of June 16, Russian troops launched a drone strike on a private residence in the Odesa district. As a result of the enemy attack, a single-story residential building was significantly damaged, and a fire broke out, which was quickly extinguished by rescuers from the State Emergency Service. 

Russian troops attacked civilians in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, with an FPV drone. Three people were killed in the strike. This was reported by Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.

Prior to this, Russian KAB bombs struck the Zaporizhzhia region, resulting in injuries.

Five rescuers from the State Emergency Service were killed as a result of a Russian attack on Kharkiv.
