Russia attacked Konotop: fires broke out in the city and a high-rise building was damaged
On the night of April 10, Russian drones struck Konotop in the Sumy region. The attack caused fires in residential areas. A high-rise building was damaged, and several cars were destroyed.
This was reported with reference to Konotop Mayor Artem Semenikhin on Telegram.
According to the mayor, the first explosions occurred around 4:30 a.m.
According to him, one of the drones struck in the city center, after which "an administrative building caught fire."
Subsequently, another drone struck a five-story residential building in the city center, where apartments and cars began to burn.
The attack damaged residential apartments and civilian vehicles. Gas lines were also damaged in one of the city’s central neighborhoods, leaving several high-rise buildings without gas service.
Later, Semenikhin reported that one person sustained minor injuries. Medical personnel provided the necessary assistance. According to preliminary data, there were no fatalities.
In addition, four residents will be evacuated from the damaged building. An inspection of the building is currently underway.
As of 8:00 a.m., rescue workers had extinguished all fires, and utility services are working to address the aftermath of the attack.
The mayor also released photos of the aftermath of the Russian attack.




Part of the city of Konotopwas left without gas following the Russian shelling.
As a reminder, the Russians attacked three settlements in the Chernihiv region with drones; one child was injured.
The Russians also attacked Kyiv Oblast with drones: there is damage.
