Russia struck Zaporizhzhia with KAB bombs; there are casualties and destruction in the city
On August 2, Russian forces launched two guided airstrikes on Zaporizhzhia. Two people were killed, 11 were wounded, and there was damage to both residential and high-rise buildings
The first strike hit a residential area in the regional center. The attack caused damage to buildings; rescuers recovered the bodies of two people from the rubble, and another person was rescued and taken to the hospital.


During the second strike on the city, the enemy damaged high-rise buildings, warehouses, and civilian vehicles. According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, as of 6:23 p.m., the number of injured had risen to 11, of whom two women are in moderate condition, and two people suffered acute stress reactions. All emergency services continue to operate at the impact sites.
