Russia struck Kharkiv with drones and missiles; there are fatalities and injuries
On the morning of July 8, Russian troops launched a massive combined attack on Kharkiv, using strike drones and missiles. Civilian infrastructure and residential areas came under enemy fire. So far, two people are known to have been killed and 20 injured.
According to city authorities, the first strikes were carried out by drones, after which the occupiers used missile weapons.
In the Kyivskyi district, an enemy drone struck a gas station, causing a massive fire.
In the Nemyshlyanskyi district, a drone strike was initially reported, followed by a missile that struck a five-story residential building. According to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, there were a total of three strikes in this district.
Two people were killed as a result of the missile strike on the high-rise building. Initially, one fatality was reported, but the death toll later rose.
The number of injured has also risen to 20. People were wounded as a result of strikes in various parts of the city.
Rescue operations and debris removal are ongoing at the impact sites. Emergency medical teams, State Emergency Service rescuers, and other specialized services are involved in addressing the aftermath of the Russian attack.

In addition, Russian troops struck energy infrastructure in the Poltava region, leaving approximately 8,500 consumers in 36 settlements without power. The occupiers also attacked a gas station.
Furthermore, on the night of July 8, Russian troops launched a massive attack on the Odesa region using strike drones. The attack damaged three gas stations and an energy infrastructure facility.
As a reminder, in Odesa, the number of casualties from the Russian strike has risen to 11, with one person in critical condition.
