Russia struck Sumy with long-range weapons; one person was injured

On the morning of September 23, Russian troops shelled Sumy with long-range weapons. At least one person was reportedly injured as a result of the attack.

According to Oleg Grigorov, Russian troops shelled Sumy with long-range weapons that morning.

Impacts were recorded at four locations in the city’s Kovpakivskyi district.

Specifically, two strikes occurred in a residential area, and two more hit civilian infrastructure facilities.

According to preliminary information, at least one person was injured as a result of the Russian shelling.

The victim is currently receiving the necessary medical care.

At the same time, the type of weaponry used by Russian forces and the full extent of the attack’s consequences are being determined.

Information regarding the damage and the number of casualties may be updated.

Over the past 24 hours, two people were killed and eight others were wounded in the Kherson region as a result of Russian shelling. 

In the Poltava district, rescue workers extinguished a fire that broke out as a result of a Russian strike on a private enterprise. There were no casualties.

On the night of September 23, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv with strike drones. A strike was recorded in the Kyiv district of the city; one person was killed as a result of the attack. 

On the morning of September 23, Russian forces attacked Kyiv with strike drones. Hits were recorded in the Holosiivskyi and Darnytskyi districts of the capital. Preliminary reports indicate that one person was injured.

On the night of September 23, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 161 attack drones of various types. Among them were 82 jet-powered UAVs. As of 8:00 a.m., air defense forces had destroyed or neutralized 119 enemy drones and three additional “Banderole”/“Dan-T” drones. 

Since the evening of September 22, Russian troops have attacked two districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 10 times. The occupiers used drones and dropped aerial bombs; one person was injured as a result of the attacks.

We would like to add that drones attacked the temporarily occupied Donetsk and Luhansk regions overnight.
