Russia lost 1,470 troops and two helicopters in the war against Ukraine over the past 24 hours

 

As of April 30, 2026, the total combat losses of Russian forces since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine have reached approximately 1,330,290 personnel. In the past 24 hours alone, the Russian army lost another 1,470 soldiers.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

According to updated data, the enemy also lost a significant amount of military equipment:

  • tanks — 11,901 (+7 in the past 24 hours);
  • armored combat vehicles — 24,493 (+7);
  • artillery systems — 40,944 (+119);
  • multiple launch rocket systems — 1,756 (+1);
  • air defense systems — 1,356 (no change);
  • aircraft — 435 (no change);
  • helicopters — 352 (+2);
  • tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles — 263,360 (+1,327);
  • cruise missiles — 4,579 (no change);
  • ships and boats — 33 (no change);
  • submarines — 2 (no change);
  • vehicles and tankers — 92,606 (+375);
  • special equipment — 4,148 (+2).

The General Staff notes that these figures are approximate and continue to be refined.

On April 29, 137 combat engagements were recorded on the front line between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops. The most intense fighting is taking place in the Pokrovsk direction, where the enemy carried out 31 attacks. The Ukrainian Armed Forces neutralized 65 invaders in this sector of the front.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ unmanned aerial systems destroyed two Russian helicopters—a Mi-28 and a Mi-17—on the ground in Russia’s Voronezh region.

Since the start of the day, 54 combat engagements have been recorded between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops. The enemy is conducting the most intense fighting in the Kostyantynivka, Pokrovsk, and Huliaipole sectors.
