Russia attacked 23 settlements in the Sumy region; there is one fatality and several injured

Over the course of 24 hours—from the morning of October 5 to the morning of October 6—Russian troops carried out more than 30 strikes on 23 settlements in 14 territorial communities in Sumy Oblast. The enemy attacks resulted in one fatality and several injuries, as well as damage to civilian infrastructure and residential buildings.

In the Velyka Pysarivka community, a 49-year-old man was killed as a result of a Russian drone attack.

In the Seredyna-Budsk community, three men aged 41, 49, and 29 sustained injuries from mortar shelling.

In the Sumy community, a 44-year-old man was wounded as a result of a UAV attack.

In addition, people injured in previous Russian attacks sought medical care. Two boys, aged 2 months and 1 year, received medical assistance; they were diagnosed with an acute stress reaction.

Medical personnel also treated a 52-year-old woman who sustained injuries from KAB strikes on October 4.

A 59-year-old man, who was injured on October 2 as a result of a drone attack, also sought treatment at the hospital.

Another victim was a 65-year-old man who was injured on September 27 by KAB strikes.

The highest number of strikes was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.

According to the Sumy Regional State Administration, Russian troops used artillery, mortars, FPV drones, UAVs, and guided aerial bombs, and also carried out a missile strike.

As a result of the shelling, residential buildings, outbuildings, vehicles, and civilian infrastructure were damaged.

Specifically, in the Krolevets community, a private residential building and a farm building were damaged.

In the Seredyna-Buda community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged.

In the Yampil community, a private residential building was damaged.

In the Sumy community, a civilian infrastructure facility, a non-residential building, a multi-unit residential building, and vehicles were damaged as a result of Russian attacks.

Damage and destruction were also recorded in the Seredyna-Budsk, Shostka, Esman, Shalygyn, and Znob-Novgorod communities as a result of previous strikes by Russian forces.

Private residential buildings were damaged or destroyed there, and in the Znob-Novgorod community, a civilian infrastructure facility was also damaged.

In the Kherson region, one person was killed and four other residents were wounded over the past 24 hours as a result of Russian aggression.

On October 5, the Russian army killed three residents of the Donetsk region. Another 11 people were wounded as a result of Russian attacks.

On the night of October 5, Russian troops launched 137 attack drones at Ukraine, including 49 rocket-powered ones. Defense forces shot down most of the drones, but some hits were recorded.

As a reminder, Russia struck a residential building in Zaporizhzhia, resulting in casualties.

Earlier, an explosion occurred in Odesa during a Russian attack.

In Sumy, a Russian FPV drone damaged three cars.
