Russia attacked the Poltava region on the night of May 26 (photo)
On the night of May 26, Russian forces launched an attack on the Poltava region. According to preliminary reports, the attack caused damage to civilian infrastructure. Details regarding the extent of the damage and possible casualties are still being confirmed.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
According to rescue workers, the enemy attack damaged residential areas and infrastructure facilities.
In particular, in the Poltava district, a residential building where an elderly woman lived was destroyed. Rescuers pulled the victim from the rubble and handed her over to medical personnel.
Fires caused by the enemy strikes have been extinguished. A total of 82 rescuers and 21 pieces of State Emergency Service equipment were involved in the cleanup efforts.
