Russia has attacked Ukraine with hundreds of drones; strikes are underway
On the night of June 10, Russian occupation forces carried out a large-scale air attack on Ukrainian territory, deploying 207 attack drones of various types.
Air defense forces managed to destroy and intercept most of the enemy aerial targets, though hits were recorded in several regions.
The Russian army used a significant arsenal of weapons for the massive strike. In particular, the launch of “Shahed”-type UAVs, the latest “Gerbera” and “Italmas” drones, “Banderole” loitering munitions, as well as special “Parody”-type decoy drones.
The enemy launched attacks from several directions simultaneously, using both its own territory and occupied Ukrainian lands.
Launches were recorded from the cities of Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation, as well as from Cape Chauda and the Gvardeyskoye airfield in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Various units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were engaged in repelling yet another massive attack.
Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, mobile fire groups, and special units for electronic warfare (EW) and unmanned aerial systems were deployed to defend the airspace.
According to preliminary data from the command, as of 08:00, air defenders had managed to shoot down or disable 181 enemy drones using EW systems.
The main strike and subsequent neutralization of the weapons took place in the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.
Despite the effective actions of the air defense units, some of the attack drones managed to reach their targets or cause damage due to falling debris after being shot down.
Currently, official sources report that 21 strike drones were recorded hitting 14 different locations. Additionally, instances of debris from downed drones falling have been documented at 13 more locations across the regions.
This was reported by the official press office of the Ukrainian Air Force Command.
Russia has attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region nearly 20 times, with consequences
Mykolaiv was again under attack by Russian drones, which struck the city and the region. An administrative building was damaged as a result of the shelling, but there were no casualties. The enemy also repeatedly attacked communities in the region with FPV drones and artillery.
The Zaporizhzhia region has endured one of the most intense attacks in recent times, as Russian troops launched hundreds of strikes on dozens of settlements. One man was killed and two others were wounded as a result of the shelling. Both frontline communities and areas further inland came under fire.
