Russia attacked a train station in Zaporizhzhia; there are casualties
Russian troops struck a railway station in Vilnyansk, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Passengers on the electric train were injured in the attack.
This was reported by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.
After an air raid siren sounded, the Zaporizhzhia-2–Synelnykove electric train was brought to an emergency stop to evacuate passengers.
“After receiving a threat alert, the Zaporizhzhia-2–Synelnykove electric train was stopped to evacuate passengers,” the statement said.
As a result of the shelling, two passengers sustained shrapnel wounds.
The injured were provided with first aid and then transported to the hospital.
Work is currently underway at the site to restore service on the damaged section of the railway.
The circumstances of the attack and the extent of the damage are being clarified.
On the night of May 15, Russian forces launched a combined strike on the Odesa region using missiles and drones. The attack resulted in civilian casualties and damage to residential buildings and infrastructure.
Since the evening, Russian troops have carried out nearly 20 drone attacks on two districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The Nikopol and Pavlohrad districts were targeted.
In addition, Russian drones attacked an energy facility in the Odesa region in the evening. Dozens of settlements were left without electricity as a result of the strike.
During a massive Russian missile and drone strike on the night of May 13–14, two gas stations were destroyed on Kharkiv Square in Kyiv. This was reported by Serhiy Kuyun, director of the A-95 consulting group, who noted that the facilities sustained significant damage as a result of the combined attack.
