Russia launched a massive attack on Kyiv and the surrounding region: one person was killed, others were injured, and fires broke out

On the night of August 5, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Kyiv, using ballistic weapons and drones. The strikes killed one person, left others wounded, sparked fires in several areas of the city, and damaged civilian infrastructure.

According to monitoring channels, the occupiers used Iskander-M, KN-23, and Zircon missiles against Kyiv, and the S-400 air defense system was also detected in action. It is reported that, among other things, an “Iskander-M” with a cluster warhead was likely used.

According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, the number of casualties from the enemy attack has risen to 22.

All victims are receiving the necessary medical care,” the Kyiv Regional Military Administration stated in its report. “Once again, the enemy is deliberately targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure. We urge residents not to ignore air raid sirens and to ensure their own safety.”
