Russia struck Kherson with an aerial bomb; one person was killed and seven were wounded
Russian forces carried out an airstrike on the Central District of Kherson. One woman was killed, and seven other people were injured. The injured include both women and men; some of the victims were taken to the hospital.
The Russian army carried out an airstrike on the Central District of Kherson. As a result of the attack, a woman was killed and seven other people were injured. This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration. “A woman was killed in a Russian airstrike on the Central District of Kherson. The relevant services are currently working to identify the victim. My sincere condolences go out to the family and loved ones of the deceased,” wrote the regional head.
Initially, the Regional Military Administration reported five casualties. Among them were three women aged 27, 48, and 52, and two men aged 43 and 62. The victims were diagnosed with blast injuries, closed head injuries, and acoustic trauma. One of the Kherson residents also had a laceration on his right leg.
Subsequently, the number of people injured in this attack rose to seven. Two more people—a 42-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man—were taken to the hospital. The woman was inside her home during the attack, while the man was on the street.
Ten people were injured in the Kherson region over the course of the day
At the same time, the total number of people injured in the Kherson region from Russian attacks over the course of the day stands at 10. These figures, as of 5:30 p.m., were reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office. Throughout the day, Russian troops shelled populated areas in the region with artillery and airstrikes, and also attacked people and civilian targets using various types of drones.
Private homes and apartment buildings were damaged as a result of the Russian attacks. Hospital buildings, a store, garages, and cars were also damaged. Seven of the casualties were specifically linked to an airstrike on the Central District of Kherson. Three more people were injured as a result of other Russian attacks in the region. This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, on Telegram.
On the night of August 1, Russia launched a massive ballistic missile attack on Kyiv. Several of the strikes were captured on the body cameras of patrol officers who were assisting people at the impact sites at the time.
