On the morning of July 19, Russian troops attacked a passenger train in the Zaporizhzhia region with a drone. The train conductor sustained minor injuries as a result of the strike.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia, thanks to a timely evacuation order from the monitoring team, no passengers were injured.
All passengers will be transported to Zaporizhzhia by bus.
Ukrzaliznytsia also warned that train traffic in the region is under heightened surveillance. Due to the security situation, passengers may need to transfer to buses or commuter electric trains to or from Zaporizhzhia. Passengers are urged to monitor personal notifications in the company’s app.
Over the course of July 17, Russian troops launched strikes on Kharkiv and 29 other settlements in the Kharkiv region. Two people were killed and 18 others were injured as a result of the shelling; among the victims were five children.
Throughout the day on July 17, the Chernihiv region came under attack from enemy drones. Fires broke out in several districts at once, but Ukrainian rescue workers have already extinguished them.
