Russians are attempting to advance in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors — General Staff

Since the start of the current 24-hour period on July 23, 178 combat engagements have been recorded on the front lines. Russian forces carried out one missile strike, firing three missiles, and conducted 60 airstrikes, during which they dropped 198 guided bombs. In addition, the enemy used 6,424 kamikaze drones for attacks and carried out 2,359 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.


Situation by Sector

  • In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the Defense Forces successfully repelled one enemy attack. The enemy also carried out three airstrikes using nine guided aerial bombs and fired on the positions of our troops and populated areas 50 times.
  • Over the past 24 hours, in the Southern Slobozhansky sector, the enemy launched nine assaults on the positions of our units near Vovchansk, Khatne, Yurchenkove, Vilcha, Lyman, and Starytsia.
  • Ten attempts by the invaders to advance were recorded in the Lyman sector near the settlements of Novoselivka, Stavky, Lyman, and Ozerne. Two of these attacks are still ongoing.
  • In the Sloviansk sector, the Defense Forces successfully repelled 17 attempts by the invaders to advance near Piskunivka, Mykolaivka, Kryva Luka, Zakitne, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Riznykivka; two more engagements are ongoing.
  • Three enemy assaults were recorded in the Kramatorsk sector in the areas of Pryvilne, Nykyforivka, and Markove.
  • In the Kostiantynivka sector, the Defense Forces repelled 12 enemy assaults near Illinivka, Kostiantynivka, Ivanopil, and Mykolaypil.
  • In total, the enemy carried out 21 attacks in the Pokrovsk direction. The occupiers attempted to advance in the areas around the settlements of Hannivka, Shevchenko, Nikanorivka, Novyi Donbas, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Myrne, and Udachne. Two firefights are ongoing.
  • Our defenders repelled three attacks by the occupiers in the Oleksandrivka sector near Oleksandrohrad, Kalynivske, and Rybne.
  • Nine attacks by the occupiers were recorded in the Huliaipole sector near the settlements of Kosivtseve, Zaliznychne, Hirke, Vozdvyzhivka, Dobropillia, Tsvitkove, and Staroukrainka.
  • In the Orikhiv sector, our defenders repelled two enemy attacks in the areas of Shcherbakiv and Stepove.
