The Russians are intensifying their offensive in the Zaporizhzhia sector
Russian troops have intensified their offensive on the Zaporizhzhia front, which, after the Donetsk region, remains one of the main theaters of operations for the occupiers. The most challenging situation is currently unfolding in areas where the enemy is attempting to expand its zone of pressure and threaten a critical defensive and logistical hub of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
To support their assaults, the enemy is making more active use of KABs, drones, and artillery. At the same time, Ukrainian defenders are striking at Russian logistics and attempting to thwart the enemy’s plans.
The Russians are attempting to encircle the Orikhiv hub
The greatest tension is currently on the Zaporizhzhia front, where the enemy has intensified its operations in several sectors simultaneously. Russian troops are engaged in combat in the area of Mali Shcherbakiv and Mala Tokmachka and have made tactical advances of several kilometers.

The Russians’ next moves may be aimed at expanding their offensive along yet another sector. Their goal is to encircle the Orikhiv defensive hub as much as possible, which is also of critical importance for the logistics of the Ukrainian Defense Forces across the entire Zaporizhzhia sector.
I think the enemy will try to open a third front in order to encircle the Orikhiv defensive node as much as possible and then occupy it. It is also a logistical hub for our entire defense on the Zaporizhzhia front,” explained a spokesperson for the Ukrainian Volunteer Army.
To support their offensive, the Russians are making more active use of aviation, particularly attack helicopters, drones, and artillery. Ukrainian defense forces are currently holding back the enemy while continuing to strike at the Russian land corridor and logistics to ease the pressure. Counterattacks are also a possibility, as the Zaporizhzhia front remains one of Russia’s top priorities after the Donetsk region.
Serhiy Bratchuk, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian Volunteer Army, told Channel 24 which areas the Russians have managed to advance several kilometers into and how the occupiers might continue their offensive.
Since the evening of September 8, Russian troops have shelled four districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 20 times. The occupiers used drones in the attacks, and three people were wounded as a result of the strikes.
As a reminder, fires broke out at industrial facilities in the Kyiv region due to an attack by the Russian Federation.
Russia also launched a massive attack on Kyiv, killing and wounding civilians.
Later, rescue workers showed the aftermath of the strikes on Kyiv.
