The Russians destroyed Aurora's distribution center in the Kyiv region

A Russian attack on the morning of August 28 destroyed the distribution center of the “Aurora” supermarket chain in the Kyiv region. According to preliminary reports, no employees were injured, as they responded to the threat in a timely manner and followed safety protocols.

Taras Panasenko, co-founder of the “Aurora” chain, reported the destruction of the distribution center. According to him, the strike occurred in the morning during yet another Russian attack. As a result of the shelling, the distribution center building in the Kyiv region was destroyed. “This morning, as a result of yet another enemy attack, the ‘Aurora’ distribution center in the Kyiv region was destroyed,” Panasenko wrote.

He noted that the most important thing is that none of the employees were injured. According to the company’s co-founder, this was achieved thanks to a swift response to the danger and adherence to safety protocols. “The main thing is that, thanks to a swift response and adherence to safety protocols, our employees were not harmed,” Panasenko emphasized.

The company has not yet provided information on the exact extent of the destruction, the nature of the damage, or potential losses. There are also no details regarding the specific type of weapon used by Russian forces to attack the facility. Distribution centers are vital to the operations of large retail chains. Goods pass through these facilities before being delivered to stores in various regions. “Aurora” is a Ukrainian multi-market chain with stores throughout the country. The company continues to operate amid a full-scale war, despite regular Russian attacks on civilian and business infrastructure.

Russian troops regularly launch strikes on the Kyiv region. During such attacks, residential buildings, businesses, warehouses, logistics facilities, and other civilian infrastructure may be damaged. Currently, the main confirmed consequence of this attack for “Aurora” is a destroyed distribution center. At the same time, according to the company, none of its employees were injured. Panasenko reported this on Facebook.

Earlier, Russia launched a ballistic missile strike on a facility in Kryvyi Rih.

As a reminder, Russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles.

Prior to that, Russia had attacked warehouses and energy facilities in the Odesa region.
