ATESH reported on a new scheme for recruiting people into the Russian Armed Forces in Donetsk
On August 28, the “ATESH” partisan movement reported on a new scheme for recruiting men into the Russian army in occupied Donetsk. According to the group, potential conscripts are sought out in bars and on the streets, after which they are taken to military recruitment offices while heavily intoxicated.
An agent of the partisan movement, who, according to the organization, works at the headquarters of the “Dnipro” military group, reported that heavily intoxicated individuals are taken to military registration offices, where they are pressured into signing a contract with the Russian army.
According to the movement, the first such “volunteers” have already joined Russian units fighting against Ukraine.
In particular, the partisans report their presence in the 328th Guards Airborne Assault Regiment in the Zaporizhzhia sector and the 77th Separate Motorized Rifle Regiment in the Donetsk region.
According to “ATESH,” the new soldiers are being used to replenish losses in units that the Russian command continues to deploy in assault operations.
At the same time, “ATESH” asserts that an increasing amount of evidence points to the Russian authorities preparing for a large-scale mobilization in September. According to the movement’s estimates, this could involve the conscription of up to 600,000 people.
The partisan movement also called on employees of Russian military registration and enlistment offices and local administrations to provide it with information about mobilization activities.
On the evening of August 27, Russian troops attacked the town of Zmiiv in the Chuhuiv District of the Kharkiv Region twice with rocket-powered drones. One person was killed and two others were injured in the Russian attack, including a child.
On the night of August 28, Russian troops launched a strike with four KAB missiles on the “Nova Poshta” sorting center in Sumy. The terminal was destroyed as a result of the attack, but all employees survived.
Prior to this, Russia had attacked a Nova Poshta warehouse in the Kyiv region.
As a reminder, Russia carried out more than 860 strikes on Zaporizhzhia over the past 24 hours.
