Russian troops attacked a mobile branch of “Ukrposhta” in the Sumy region with a drone. Company employees sustained serious injuries, and doctors fought all night to save their lives. According to Ukrposhta CEO Ihor Smilianskyi, doctors are cautiously optimistic about their prognosis.

 

Russian forces have once again attacked a mobile branch of “Ukrposhta,” which delivers essential supplies to people. This time, a company vehicle in the Sumy region was targeted. The attack was reported by “Ukrposhta” CEO Ihor Smiliansky.

He said a Russian drone attacked the mobile branch the day before. As a result of the strike, company employees sustained serious injuries. “The enemy continues to target our mobile ‘Ukrposhta’ branches, which deliver pensions, medicines, packages, and food to Ukrainians. Yesterday, yet another such drone attack took place in the Sumy region,” Smiliansky said.

Doctors fought all night to save the employees’ lives

After the attack, the victims were taken to hospitals. Medical staff in Sumy and Trostyanets worked through the night to stabilize their condition. Smiliansky noted that the employees sustained serious injuries. At the same time, doctors are currently offering a cautiously optimistic prognosis regarding their condition.

“We hope for our colleagues’ speedy recovery and wish them just that,” said the CEO of “Ukrposhta.” He did not specify the number of victims or the nature of their injuries.

“Ukrposhta” Continues Operations

Ukrposhta’s mobile branches operate in areas where there are no permanent branches or where their operations are hampered by hostilities. They deliver pensions, medications, packages, groceries, and other essential items to residents. Due to their proximity to the combat zone, these vehicles may become targets of Russian attacks. Smelyansky stated that the company continues to improve safety measures for its employees.

Despite the attack, “Ukrposhta” has not suspended operations and continues to provide essential services and goods to Ukrainians. Currently, medical personnel are focusing their efforts on the injured employees. The company hopes they will recover as soon as possible.
