Russian shelling damaged a school and a community center in the Chernihiv region

Over the past 24 hours, on June 18, Russian troops attacked border areas of the Chernihiv region with drones. A school building and a community center were damaged as a result of the attacks.

Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram.

“Over the past day, the Russians shelled the Chernihiv region, with the majority of attacks occurring in the border areas. Yesterday morning, in the Novhorod-Siverskyi community, the enemy attacked a school building with a drone—the facade, windows, and doors were damaged,” Chaus reported.

According to him, in Semenivka, the roofs of the town’s cultural center and a utility building were damaged as a result of attacks by FPV drones.

In one of the villages in the Chernihiv district, falling drone debris shattered windows in a residential building, and in the Koryukivka district, a grass fire broke out.

The head of the Regional Military Administration noted that over the past 24 hours, the enemy also attacked energy facilities in the region.

Earlier, the State Emergency Service released the names of the rescuers who died as a result of the strike on Kharkiv.

As a reminder, Russia attacked the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, causing a fire.

Prior to that, Russian cruise missiles struck the Zaporizhzhia region, leaving several people wounded.

Rescue workers from the State Emergency Service were killed as a result of the Russian attack on Kharkiv.
