Video: Putin's supporters are beginning to call for an end to the war against Ukraine
In Russia, a volunteer who has spent many years assisting the Russian military and occupation forces recorded a public appeal to Vladimir Putin, calling on him to end the war against Ukraine.
According to him, the situation within Russia is gradually deteriorating: drones are increasingly striking Russian cities, and the consequences of the war are becoming increasingly felt by ordinary citizens who previously supported the Kremlin’s aggressive policies.
In his appeal, he emphasized that society has supposedly “proved everything” and proposed a change of course.
“We’ve proven everything to everyone. We’re a smart people. Maybe we should try something different? We’ll support you,” he said, addressing the Russian dictator.
Such statements, against the backdrop of a protracted war, indicate a gradual increase in fatigue even among some pro-government and pro-war groups in Russia that previously actively supported the aggression against Ukraine.
Russian authorities are considering a significant increase in war spending in 2026. According to Bloomberg, the figure is an additional four to five trillion rubles. Meanwhile, Russia’s budget deficit has already exceeded the projected figure for the entire year.
