Russian propagandists have found Drapato's relatives in Russia
Russian propaganda media are spreading information claiming that the family of the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapaty, allegedly has “extensive ties” to Russia. As one piece of “evidence,” they cite the fact that his half-brother lives in Sochi.
A source at the TASS propaganda agency stated that the commander-in-chief’s father, Vasyl Drapaty, had allegedly lived in Surgut for a long time.
According to a representative of the Russian security forces, the man now holds nationalist views and follows social media groups supporting former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and the fifth President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko.
In addition, the “source” noted that the commander-in-chief’s half-brother, Maxim, also previously lived in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug but has now moved to Sochi in the Krasnodar Krai. At the same time, propagandists refer to Mikhail Drapato himself as a “fierce nationalist” and claim that he is accused of terrorism in Russia.
As a reminder, Russian propagandists are spreading a false story about military ATVs hidden in grain at the port of Odesa.
Russian propaganda has stepped up the spread of disinformation about an alleged large-scale fuel shortage in Ukraine. Such disinformation campaigns coincide with Russian drone and missile attacks on gas stations in various regions of the country.
Russian intelligence agencies are preparing a large-scale information operation aimed at undermining Ukrainian-Polish relations. To this end, the FSB plans to release falsified documents related to events of World War II and the Volhynia tragedy.
