Russian troops attacked a heating facility in Chernihiv
On Sunday, March 29, 2026, the Russian army launched a targeted strike on a critical infrastructure facility in Chernihiv.
According to information from the city council and monitoring channels, the enemy used a "Geran" strike drone, which resulted in a hit on one of the city’s life support systems.
The target of the attack was a facility involved in the regional center’s heating system.
A powerful explosion caused a fire on the premises, which was quickly extinguished by units of the State Emergency Service (SES).
“The enemy struck a critical infrastructure facility within the city of Chernihiv,” the city council’s press service officially reported immediately after the incident.
According to preliminary data, there were no fatalities or injuries among the facility’s staff or the civilian population as a result of the nighttime shelling.
As a reminder, the Russians attacked the Kyiv region with drones: damage has been reported.
Russia also attacked Ukraine with 164 drones; air defense forces destroyed 150 UAVs.
