A Russian drone attacked a car in the Sumy region: teenagers were injured
On Sunday, March 22, Russian occupation forces carried out yet another terrorist attack against the civilian population of Sumy Oblast.
An enemy drone struck a civilian vehicle in the Berezivska community of the Shostka district, resulting in serious injuries to two young people.
Oleg Grigorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, officially reported the tragic incident in his statement.
According to him, the strike was deliberate, as the drone attacked a vehicle carrying only civilians.
“An enemy drone struck a civilian vehicle in the Shostka district. In the Berezivska community, a 13-year-old boy and an 18-year-old girl who were in the car were injured,” the head of the Regional Military Administration noted.
Currently, both victims are under the care of specialists who are conducting a comprehensive medical examination to determine the severity of their injuries.
The Shostka district regularly suffers from cross-border shelling and attacks by strike UAVs, as it borders the territory of the aggressor country.
Russian troops systematically use drones to target civilian vehicles, turning life in border communities into a constant danger.
Local authorities are once again urging residents of the region to minimize travel on open stretches of road in the border zone.
Any such trip could prove fatal due to the activity of enemy drones, which conduct round-the-clock surveillance of the movement of any objects.
As a reminder, the Russians attacked Sloviansk with high-explosive bombs.
The Russians also attacked an evacuation crew with a drone in the Donetsk region; there are fatalities and injuries.
