The Kerch Bridge has been closed four times in the past 24 hours, causing major traffic jams
As of June 22, traffic on the Kerch Bridge had already been halted four times. The restrictions were in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 7:29 a.m., from 8:00 a.m. to 8:40 a.m., from 11:07 a.m. to 12:11 p.m., and from 4:00 p.m. to 4:40 p.m.
Due to the regular closures, significant traffic jams formed on the approaches to the bridge. As of the evening, 995 vehicles were waiting in line: 290 from the Russian side of Taman and 705 from the occupied side of Kerch.
Amid logistics and fuel shortages on the peninsula, Russian authorities continue to periodically halt traffic across the bridge, which remains one of the key routes connecting Russia and occupied Crimea.

The occupying authorities in Crimea have announced a series of restrictions amid power outages and fuel shortages. In particular, fuel sales on the peninsula will be suspended in the coming days, and public transportation will operate on special schedules. Ferries will also be suspended.
On the night of June 20, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of Russian military facilities. Among the targets was a bridge near Henichesk, which the occupiers use to transport equipment and resupply their troops between occupied Crimea and the southern front.
