A Russian drone claimed the life of eight-year-old Bohdan in Cherkasy
The Russian terrorist army took the life of eight-year-old Bohdan Sergeyev during yet another attack on Cherkasy on April 14.
Little Bohdan was a second-grade student at the local secondary school No. 25.
The global initiative United24 released archival footage of the boy, in which he smiles sincerely and shares his cherished dream.
“I don’t want war, I want peace”—these prophetic words of a child are now forever etched in the memory of Ukrainians.
Unfortunately, Bohdan’s dream of a peaceful childhood was cynically shattered by a Russian terrorist act.
The tragic incident occurred right on the playground where the boy was playing with his friends. Witness Valentina Gulyanitskaya recounted that Bohdan tried until the very last moment to save his toys during the explosion.
According to eyewitnesses, the child was holding two balls in his hands when an enemy drone struck very close by.
The powerful blast threw Bohdan into the air; he sustained numerous shrapnel wounds that proved fatal.
“The other kids scattered, but he was holding two balls, wanting to make sure they didn’t get lost. He was thrown up—I don’t know, maybe two meters high—and then he fell,” recalls Valentina.
