Defense forces are holding back the Russian Federation's offensive in the area of Hryshyne and Pokrovsk
Shooting battles are ongoing in the village of Hryshyne in the Donetsk region, as the enemy attempts to consolidate its positions and advance with small infantry groups.
This was reported to Ukrinform by Grigory Shapoval, spokesperson for the “East” Operational Command. Currently, the invaders are attempting to intensify pressure in the Pokrovsk area, increasing the number of assault troops, artillery, and drones.
Ukrainian defenders continue to hold the northern outskirts of Pokrovsk, where the occupiers are seeking to concentrate their forces for further advancement. In the southern part of the city, Russia is concentrating equipment and personnel; however, the Defense Forces are detecting and destroying enemy targets, preventing the formation of strike groups. Combat operations to destroy the aggressor’s reserves are being conducted both within the city itself and on its outskirts.
The situation remains tense due to the enemy’s constant attempts to improve its tactical position. Shapoval emphasized that Ukrainian units are actively employing weapons to prevent the enemy from carrying out its plans to encircle or capture new positions. In the Pokrovsk direction, fighting is intense, with significant forces engaged on both sides.
