The Council of Churches condemned Russia's attack and declared that retribution was inevitable
The All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations condemned the latest Russian attack against Ukraine and stated that those responsible will inevitably face punishment.
This is stated in a declaration by the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations.
The statement emphasizes that Russia continues to shell Ukrainian cities even on holidays, deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure and killing civilians.
The Council of Churches emphasized that “retribution for the innocent blood shed will inevitably come to the Russian criminals and those who support them.”
It also noted that crimes against humanity have no statute of limitations.
The statement expressed support for the victims and thanked Ukrainian military personnel, medical workers, and rescue workers, as well as everyone helping Ukraine.
Starting on the evening of April 14, Russian occupiers launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine, using 3 Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 324 drones of various types. Air defense forces neutralized most of the targets, but some hits were recorded.
