In Odessa, a Russian maritime drone attacked the training sailing ship "Druzhba"

A Russian naval drone attacked the Ukrainian training sailing ship "Druzhba" in the port of Odessa.

This was reported by Serhiy “Flash” Beskrestnov, an advisor to the Ukrainian Minister of Defense.

The “Druzhba” is a training sailing ship. Back in 2021, repairs began on the ship in preparation for its transfer to the Naval Forces Institute.

That is precisely why the attack on this target surprised military experts and social media users.

“I understand why the ‘Oreshnik’ hit the garages—after all, that was the ‘decision-making center.’ But why did a Russian naval drone heroically attack the sailboat yesterday? The entire strategic rum supply had long since been removed from there,” said “Flash.”

According to one theory, the operator of the Russian maritime drone may not have detected any more important targets in the port area.

In that case, the strike was likely directed at the nearest vessel within the drone’s range.

The training sailboat “Druzhba” is not a combat vessel but is used for training cadets and providing practical training for future sailors.

On the night of May 26, Russian occupation forces twice attacked the Sloviansk community in Donetsk Oblast with Geran-2 strike drones.

Russia attacked a gas service vehicle in Sumy with a drone; it burned down.

Russian occupiers attacked Balakliya with drones.
