Russian drone hits the building of the We Are Ukraine TV channel in Kyiv
In Kyiv, Ukraine, a Russian drone struck the building of the We Are Ukraine TV channel during a live broadcast, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported. As a result of Russia’s overnight attack on the capital, the aggressor state, at least two people were killed and another 10 were injured. The city’s State Emergency Service reported this.
Consequences of the attack
According to BBC News, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv early on Tuesday morning due to the launch of Russian drones. A series of explosions was heard overnight in different districts of the capital.
Residential buildings came under attack. In particular, a five-story apartment building in the Solomianskyi district was damaged. Cars caught fire in the Podilskyi district. During the attack, Kyiv residents took shelter at metro stations.

Negotiations and air raid alerts
The attack took place after Ukraine and Russia agreed to a three-day halt to strikes on capitals during visits to Moscow and Kyiv by special envoys of US President Donald Trump. The day before, following talks with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, Zelenskyy said he expected the war to continue in winter.
Talks with US representatives in Ukraine lasted several hours behind closed doors and ended without significant breakthroughs. Zelenskyy said that representatives of Ukraine, Europe, and the United States are to continue discussions in the near future, and also called for a trilateral meeting involving Russia and the United States.
According to an assessment by BBC Verify, Kyiv is currently experiencing more air raid alerts each day than at any time since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022.
