Russian propaganda has launched a large-scale disinformation campaign regarding the Easter ceasefire

Russian media outlets have used the topic of the so-called “Easter truce” to launch a large-scale campaign to discredit Ukraine.

This was reported by the SPRAVDI Center for Strategic Communications.

The Center notes that propaganda is promoting narratives about the Ukrainian leadership’s “inability to negotiate” and accusing Kyiv of sabotaging the ceasefire.

Separately, Russian media manipulated Kirill Budanov’s statements regarding Ukrainian drones, distorting them and spreading messages about the state’s alleged “incompetence.” On April 11–12 alone, approximately 250 such publications were recorded.

Boris Johnson’s visit to Ukraine was also exploited for information attacks—narratives about “external control” and “Western puppet masters” were promoted.

Another focus was manipulation surrounding the prisoner exchange in the “175 for 175” format. Russian propaganda attempted to portray the return of civilians as “proof of Ukraine’s terrorism.” At least 250 such materials were recorded during this period.

In total, between April 11 and 12, approximately 6,300 pieces of content containing manipulative references to Ukraine were published on 110 platforms that systematically disseminate disinformation.

Russian occupation forces disregarded the ceasefire, using the holidays to rebuild their offensive capabilities.

Russian forces struck a civilian vehicle in the village of Lyutivka, Zolochiv community, with an FPV drone, injuring a 70-year-old local resident.
